Welcome to Fall

Thank-you to all donors to the “Big Give for Autism”, a national fundraising effort which occurred September 17, 2015 – we appreciate your contributions, and remember that all donations to ASLA stay in L.A.

Katie Hornberger’s talk on improving our outcomes for Regional Center Fair Hearings was incredible – Katie has a wealth of information and represents a wonderful organization http://www.disabilityrightsca.org.

October has another great speaker and topic which is relevant to ages 22 and under, “IEP Meetings: How they work and how to get what you need” presented by Christofer Arroyo from http://www.scdd.ca.gov Be sure to join us Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 6:30pm at Mychal’s Place.

Finally, ASLA is proud to welcome two new board members, who have been friends of ASLA for many years:

  • Terry Ray, a Regional Manager for Barrister Executive Suites, member and treasurer for the Corporate Volunteer Council, community advocate and mother to a 21 year old son on the autism spectrum.
  • Steven Peden, an attorney with focus on helping entrepreneurs and business owners.  His expertise is across many business sectors including non-profit groups and is actively supporting the South Bay community.  Steven is a proud father of 4 children.

Look for further conference details to be released in October 2015.
