He inspired the\u00a0award winning\u00a0expressive\/performing arts social skills\u00a0program,\u00a0The Miracle Project; his journey was the subject of the book,\u00a0Now I See the Moon,\u00a0selected for World Autism Awareness Day by the United Nations in 2011;\u00a0and\u00a0he\u00a0is a star of the HBO Emmy winning film,\u00a0Autism: The Musical. Neal is a multi modality communicator using sign language, supportive typing, Pro Loquo 2Go (an app on \u00a0his iPhone ) and some spoken words to communicate.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a semi-professional model, featured in Kate Winslets book The Golden Hat. Neal has presented his writings at synagogues across Los Angeles; at the\u00a0United Nations for World\u00a0Autism Awareness Day in 2013;\u00a0at the FRED Conference\u00a0in Los Angeles in\u00a02014; and on\u00a0on stage with Crosby, Stills and Nash at the\u00a0\u201cLight Up the Blues\u201d event at the Ace Theater. \u00a0Neal inspired the\u00a0YouTube\u00a0claymation\u00a0<wbr \/>sensation, \u201cMy Name is Neal,\u201d which was\u00a0shown at the Pantages Theater April 2015.\u00a0 Last summer Neal received the Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Leadership in Autism Award presented to him at the National Autism Society in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Neal moved into his own apartment with support and loves his independence.
